How to export your data from TurboTenant

Sources checked October 5, 2026

TurboTenant has no single export for a whole account. Each kind of data downloads from its own screen: charges, deposits, the rent roll, and expenses as CSV files, the Schedule E report to Excel, and leases as PDFs one at a time. Plan about half an hour. Checked against TurboTenant's help center on 2026-10-05.

The steps

  1. Export your charges. Go to Payments, then Charges, select Export in the top-right corner, and download the CSV file. It lists each charge with its due date, category, lease, status, and amount.
  2. Export your deposits. In Payments, open Deposits to export the payments that were deposited into your bank account, with the deposit date for each.
  3. Export the rent roll. At the bottom of Payments, then Overview, the Rent roll report section has a Generate and export CSV button. The file lists each property, unit, tenant, lease dates, security deposit, and rent amount. TurboTenant builds it from your Lease Profiles, not from your property list: a lease with a future start date is in it if it is active and not archived, and a vacant unit with no Lease Profile is left out, so check the file against your own unit list.
  4. Export your expenses. In Transactions, open the Expenses tab and export all expenses to a CSV file.
  5. Export the tax and accounting reports. The Schedule E report exports to Excel. TurboTenant lists its financial reports, including profit and loss, net operating income, and cash flow, as Pro features that go away on a lower plan, so pull them while you are still on Pro.
  6. Download each lease. Open Lease Profiles, pick the lease, go to its documents, and download the PDF. TurboTenant says a lease you already completed stays downloadable after a paid subscription ends.
  7. Save the applications you need to keep. A completed application is saved by printing it and choosing Save as a PDF as the destination.
  8. Do not delete properties to tidy up. TurboTenant warns that deleting a property deletes all the documents, maintenance requests, and lease profiles tied to it. Export first and leave the properties where they are.
