How to export your data from DoorLoop

Sources checked October 5, 2026

DoorLoop has no export-everything button. Your data comes out through Reports, one report at a time: open a report, set its filters and dates, and use the Export button to save it as PDF, CSV, or Excel. Finish before you cancel, because DoorLoop says that once the subscription is canceled you can no longer log in. Checked against DoorLoop's help center on 2026-10-05.

The steps

  1. Open Reports. Every DoorLoop report has an Export button with three formats: PDF, CSV, and Excel. Use CSV or Excel for anything you plan to load into other software. PDF is for reading.
  2. Export your tenants and units. Run the tenant reports (the Tenant Directory, plus current, future, and past tenants) and the Rent Roll, which DoorLoop describes as showing occupancy, rent, balances, and deposits for every unit.
  3. Export the money history. Run the Transactions List, which DoorLoop says shows every incoming and outgoing transaction, then Profit and Loss and the Balance Sheet. Set each date range to reach back to your first year, not the default period.
  4. Export every tenant ledger. Go to Reports, then Lease Account Statements Report, to download the statements as a spreadsheet. For a single lease, open its Transactions tab and choose Export Statement.
  5. Export owner statements if you manage for owners. The Owner Statement report exports as PDF, CSV, or Excel.
  6. Download your files one at a time. Signed leases, photos, and other uploads sit under Files. Click the three dots beside a file and choose Download. We found no bulk download in DoorLoop's documentation, so start with the documents you are required to keep.
  7. Save the text conversations you need. In the Communications Center, open a conversation and choose Export Conversation. Each one saves to your device as a PDF.
  8. Check the files before you cancel. Open the transaction and rent roll exports and match a few known numbers, like one property's rent for a year, against the live account.

What your plan changes

If you already canceled

DoorLoop says it keeps your data for 6 months after cancellation, but you cannot log in during that time. Its help center says support can grant temporary access so you can pull the reports you need. Treat that as a rescue, not a plan. Ask early, and export before you cancel if you still can.

Or skip the spreadsheet wrangling. We move your entire DoorLoop portfolio into PropManager for you, free, usually inside 48 hours. You send the exports, we do the rest, and you check the result before anything goes live.
