How to cancel DoorLoop

Sources checked October 5, 2026

You cannot cancel DoorLoop with a button. Its help center says cancellations are not processed without speaking to an agent: the account owner contacts support through the in-app chat or books a call with a Customer Success Manager, and a brief phone call confirms it. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Checked against DoorLoop's cancellation article and its Terms of Service on 2026-10-05.

The right order

  1. Export first. Work through the DoorLoop export guide while everything still works. DoorLoop says that once the subscription is canceled you can no longer log in.
  2. Check your renewal date against the notice window. DoorLoop's Terms of Service, version dated September 30, 2026, ask for notice at least fifteen business days before the end of the current subscription term, and say the subscription otherwise renews for another term of the same length. If you signed up under earlier terms, read the version you agreed to.
  3. Move rent collection, then turn off autopay. Get the replacement live and tested first. Then follow DoorLoop's own instruction to disable tenant auto-pay schedules: in the Rent tab, use the three dots beside each recurring payment and delete it. To stop new online payments, go to Settings, then Tenant Portal, then Permissions, and switch off Enable Online Payments.
  4. Contact support as the account owner. DoorLoop says the account owner has to start and finish the cancellation. Use the in-app chat, or schedule a call with a Customer Success Manager.
  5. Take the call. A brief phone call with a Customer Success Manager is required to confirm the cancellation. Ask for the effective date in writing.

Common questions

Can I cancel DoorLoop online?

Not by yourself. DoorLoop's help center says cancellations cannot be processed without speaking to an agent. You start it through the in-app chat or by scheduling a call, and a brief phone call with a Customer Success Manager confirms it.

How much notice does DoorLoop require?

DoorLoop's Terms of Service, version dated September 30, 2026, ask for notice at least fifteen business days before the end of your current subscription term. Without it, the subscription renews for another term of the same length. If you signed up earlier, check the terms you agreed to.

Will DoorLoop refund the unused part of my plan?

Plan on no. DoorLoop's help center says refunds for unused time are not standard, and its Terms of Service call subscription fees non-refundable. Annual plans are billed up front for 12 months.

What happens to my data after I cancel DoorLoop?

DoorLoop says it keeps your data for 6 months after cancellation, but you can no longer log in. Its help center says support can grant temporary access to pull old reports, and that reactivating does not carry additional activation fees.

Can I pause DoorLoop instead of canceling?

DoorLoop says it can accommodate short-term account pauses. Before you choose one, ask support what a pause costs and what your tenants can still do during it.
