How to export your data from TenantCloud

TenantCloud has one export for the whole account. From your profile, go to Settings, open Security, and click Export in the Export data section. It builds an Excel file of your transactions, leases, contacts, and maintenance data, for every property or just the ones you pick. Run it before you cancel: TenantCloud says canceling the subscription cancels the account and permanently deletes its data. Checked against TenantCloud's help center on 2026-10-05.
The steps
- Use a computer. TenantCloud says the Export data option is available on the desktop only.
- Open the export. Click your profile, go to Settings, click Security in the Account Settings block, then click Export in the Export data section.
- Choose what goes in. All data is selected by default. Custom selection lets you export chosen properties instead.
- Download the file. TenantCloud moves the finished export to the Downloads page, where you save it to your device.
- Download the reports you rely on. Each report downloads on its own, as PDF or XLSX. That includes the Tenant Statement and the Tax Preparation report, which groups transactions by Schedule E category. TenantCloud stores the last 5 reports you generated, so save each one as you run it.
- Download your files. TenantCloud's pricing page says you can export your leases, transactions, reports, and documents before closing the account, but the export article does not say whether uploaded files are inside the Excel export. Signed leases are saved as PDFs, and the File Manager is where you preview and download saved files. Download the ones you are required to keep.
- Open everything before you cancel. Check the Excel file and the PDFs against the live account. After cancellation there is nothing to go back to.
