How to cancel TenantCloud without losing your data
Export before you cancel TenantCloud. Its help center says that if you cancel your subscription plan, the account is canceled along with it, and all associated data is permanently deleted and cannot be restored. The cancel option is in Settings: choose My plan in the Subscription section, open the Actions menu, and pick Cancel subscription. Checked against TenantCloud's cancellation article on 2026-10-05.
The right order
- Export everything and open the files. Follow the TenantCloud export guide. TenantCloud itself tells customers to complete all exports before canceling.
- Move rent collection first. TenantCloud's tenant-side help says a tenant's AutoPay is canceled automatically if the landlord resets or deletes the account. Have the replacement live and tell tenants where to pay before you cancel.
- Mind the billing date. To avoid a charge for the next billing period, TenantCloud says you must cancel at least one day before the billing date.
- Cancel in Settings. Choose My plan in the Subscription section, open the Actions menu in the top-right corner, and choose Cancel subscription. You then select Cancel and lose access, give a reason, and type a confirmation phrase.
Common questions
Does canceling TenantCloud delete my data?
TenantCloud's help center says yes: if you cancel your subscription plan, your account is canceled along with it, and all associated data is permanently deleted and cannot be restored. Its pricing page says it retains data for a limited period under its retention policy, so the two do not fully agree. Export first and do not count on getting anything back.
Will TenantCloud refund my subscription?
No. TenantCloud's help center says no refunds, prorated or otherwise, are provided upon cancellation, and its Terms of Service say no refunds are available for purchases.
When does TenantCloud stop charging me?
Cancel at least one day before the billing date to avoid the next charge. TenantCloud's cancellation article says you can choose to end the subscription immediately or at the end of the current period, and another of its articles says cancellation removes access to plan features immediately. No refund is given either way, so pick the end of the period if you are offered the choice.
Can I pause TenantCloud instead of canceling?
Yes, for 90 days. TenantCloud says you are not charged during a pause, you cannot access your account or your information during it, tenants with autopay enabled are still charged their usual amounts, and the subscription resumes automatically after 90 days if you do not resume it yourself.
What if I just stop paying TenantCloud?
TenantCloud says that while a subscription is overdue you cannot access any features or pages until the payment goes through, and that it retains your data for 90 days before it is permanently deleted.
Or skip the spreadsheet wrangling. We move your entire TenantCloud portfolio into PropManager for you, free, usually inside 48 hours. You send the exports, we do the rest, and you check the result before anything goes live.Related
