How to cancel your Buildium account
Cancellation itself is a few clicks. The work is in the order of operations: export first, line up rent collection, then cancel. Verified against Buildium's help article on 2026-08-05.
The right order
- Export everything first. Follow the Buildium export guide: all five data categories plus the documents you need to keep.
- Move rent collection before the cutoff. If tenants pay through Buildium, their payment method dies with the account. Get the replacement live and tested before you cancel, not after.
- Cancel in Settings, then Account and billing. Buildium states access continues through the current subscription period, so a monthly plan runs to the end of the month.
- Use the remaining days as a reference window. Until access ends you can still look things up. Reconcile your export against the live account while you can.

How do I cancel my Buildium account?
